About HiLife+
HiLife+ is an online community for real neighbours to communicate, share and help.
Users find out what's happening around their community on HiLife+, organize used goods transfers, interest groups, group buys, and community events . Neighbours communicate and carry out mutual help activities.
Our goal here at HiLife+ is to cultivate a better world where everyone has a neighbourhood they can rely on, and our mission is to build trusted connections among neighbours and the exchange of helpful information, goods, and services.
At its essence, HiLife+ is a social platform used to connect neighbours. Imagine a platform like Facebook or Instagram, but instead of your newsfeed being filled with friends and family, it's the people who live in your neighbourhood.
Why HiLife+
Communities are constantly created online, but they don’t really translate into real life.
HiLife+ aims to bridge this gap and create a safe space where verified neighbours hold real discussions.
Unlike conventional social networks like Facebook or Instagram where you are able to connect to anyone else in the world, your connections on HiLife+ are exactly the folks that you meet at the bus-stop, coffeeshop or say hi in the lift.

The information that you share with your neighbours are totally different from the content that you share with your friends.
You don't post on your instagram when you need to borrow a ladder or found a bunch of keys at the local playground. You do not post on your facebook page to inform your friends that there is a suspicious character lurking in the estate.
That's where HiLife+ sets up to be different and to serve a different purpose for the community.

User verification
HiLife+ is free.
The only caveat is that users must verify who they are and live in the real-world location that comports with the boundaries of the online neighborhood network they wish to join.
HiLife+ uses Singpass as its key tool of verification for all users here in Singapore. Alternatively, you can verify your address by uploading a copy or photo of one of the following accepted documents through the verification feature of the HiLife+ App (Click here to see how):
Valid, government issued ID - e.g., drivers license (must not be expired)
Utility bill
Letter or statement from a government agency, bank, financial institution, or authorized insurer
Our team here will verify your account within 24 hours, considering all data submitted to be accurate.

Why the need to verify
A platform like Facebook removes an average of 1.3 Billion fake user accounts every quarter and this is a phenomenon we do not wish to encounter here at HiLife+. Fake user accounts will usually run a higher risk of having falsified and unverified information being shared over the platform and this contradicts what we believe here at HiLife.
Before new users can utilize the full functionality of the HiLife+ app, they must match their address with their corresponding HiLife+ account via Singpass Verification. An unverified user will not be able to engage in community activities such as posting, commenting, liking, or sharing of any posts withiin the community.
The process was designed in this manner in order to protect the privacy and maintain the integrity of the platform.
The current Singpass verification process includes an improved user interface, mobile-friendly features and stronger security capabilities, such as Two-Factor Verification (2FA) for digital transactions involving personal data. With 2FA, users will need to enter their Singpass ID and password, then followed by a One-Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS, or use Singpass Face Verification that serves as an additional layer of security.

What information do we retrieve from Singpass
HiLife+ has been given the approval from Singpass to use their API to facilitate user verification on our app.
When you use your Singpass Verification, our system collects the following datasets from MyInfo as part of the our User Verification protocol:
Full name
Address
Email Address (as provided to myinfo)
Phone Number (as provided to myinfo)
The 4 datasets serve the following purpose:
Your full name is required to verify your identity.
Your address is required so that our system is able to automatically place you into the estate that your postal code reflects.
Email address and phone number as your login username
Email address for communication purposes from platform

Inviting friends & neighbours
Log into HiLife+ on your mobile app and click 'invite' in the top right corner.
Select "Invite your friends" and you can select via what platform would you wish to send an invitation to your friend.
